US ATLAS Shibboleth Identifiers

On May 2, the RACF announced that, along with a web proxy hardware change, the mechanism by which US ATLAS computing users authenticate to protected facility web pages has changed from Webauth to Shibboleth.

The main change from a user perspective is that when accessing any pages served over HTTPS in the www.usatlas.bnl.gov domain, including the US ATLAS TWiki, users will be presented with a selection of Shibboleth identifiers. Users may choose any of the available options, but it may be simplest to choose the first option: Primary.  From there, users can input their US ATLAS computing account user name and password.  Once they've authenticated, users will be redirected to their requested URL.

For more information, see the Publishing and Security Details page of the US ATLAS TWiki.
