Panda Database servers are used by Panda Servers.

Hardware Spec Dell PowerEdge 2950, Dual dual-core Intel Xeon(R) CPU 5150  @ 2.66GHz. (four cores per host),  8GB memory, and six 15krpm SAS drives, each with 145GB disk space. Hardware Raid 10 over these drives  Peguin Computing Relion 2600SA, Dual Quad-Core Intel Xeon CPU E5335 @ 2.00GHz. (eight cores per host), 16 GB memory, and six 750GB SATA drives. Details Panda servers write data into the databases on this server, which is read by monitoring and logging processes. Databases include:
  • Job Status Database (two weeks worth of data)
  • File/dataset status database

  • Job record archival database
  • File/dataset status database
  • Site configuration database
  • Pilot request database for each site
Database for Alexei's dataset information and Panda task definitions.  This server has not yet been implemented.

High:
Failure completely halts ATLAS and US ATLAS production
High:
Failure crashes all pilot jobs and completely halts ATLAS and US ATLAS production

Failure prevents all new ATLAS production task definition and corresponding dataset creation
